今回のブログにてお届けする内容としては、設定アプリ経由にて起動した “印刷キュー” アプリのプレビュー機能について取り上げます。

印刷ジョブをプレビューする機能について
新しい形式の印刷キューアプリは、従来のコントロールパネルから表示する印刷キューのウィンドウと異なり残存する印刷ジョブをプレビューする機能があります。
しかし、この印刷ジョブをプレビューする機能は、全ての印刷ジョブに対して有効ではなく、プレビューできる印刷ジョブとプレビューできない印刷ジョブがあります。
プレビューできる印刷ジョブについて
Universal Print や Mopria に対応した Microsoft IPP Class Driver を利用する印刷キュー、 Microsoft Print To PDF では、プレビューを行える印刷ジョブを生成することが多くあります。
対して、従来の v3 プリンタードライバーを利用する印刷キューでは、プレビューを行える印刷ジョブを生成することは、ほとんどありません。
印刷ジョブのプレビューができなかったとしても実際の印刷は行われますが、印刷ジョブのプレビューを確認したい場合は、Microsoft IPP Class Driver を利用する印刷キューから Universal Print や Mopria といったモダンなプリンターに印刷することをお勧めします。
About the Print Job Preview Feature
Unlike the legacy print queue window accessed from the Control Panel, the new version of the print queue app includes a feature that allows you to preview remaining print jobs.
However, this print job preview feature is not available for all print jobs. Some print jobs can be previewed, while others cannot.
Print Jobs That Can Be Previewed
Print queues that use the Microsoft IPP Class Driver and support Universal Print or Mopria, as well as Microsoft Print to PDF, often generate print jobs that can be previewed.
In contrast, print queues that use legacy v3 printer drivers rarely generate print jobs that can be previewed.
Even if a print job cannot be previewed, the actual printing will still be performed. However, if you want to check the print job preview, we recommend printing to modern printers such as those supporting Universal Print or Mopria via a print queue that uses the Microsoft IPP Class Driver.
